Second hearing on Ishraq’s
Earlier, a person named Mamunur Rashid filed a writ petition after the legal notice was not taken into consideration after being given. The writ challenged the March 27 election tribunal verdict and the April 27 gazette. Along with this, the petition sought directions to prevent Ishraq Hossain from administering the oath. The ruling on this matter is under consideration.
Meanwhile, Ishraq Hossain’s supporters have been protesting in front of the city hall for the past few days, demanding that he be appointed as the mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation. They are still holding their programs today.
